The Milkmaid Braid

Hello and happy happy Thursday. I have not been writing as frequently because I have signed up for summer courses, and I have been bombarded with homework and quizzes. I did take the time to do a quick and simple hairstyle tutorial this morning.

This is the Milkmaid Updo. I think it is cute, and different. If you have the guts to wear it in public, do it. Don't be afraid to be different. I was once so willing to mirror everyones actions and style, but I truly don't think there is a point in doing that anymore. We were all created differently so we can shine through in our differences. We were not created to blend in with everyone else. How boring would that be. Well Anyway Let's get to this quick and easy tutorial.

Parting your hair:
You will have to try your absolute best to part your hair in the middle. I have a lot of trouble with this because I can never get the part as straight as I would want it. However, I didn't think I did so bad here... right? Maybe not, but I tried my best!

Now is the fun part! The braiding. Simply braid your hair in a regular three strand braid. If you would like to change up the look of this hairstyle then fishtail braid it. I think it looks adorable with a fishtail. Maybe I'll try that in another post some day.

Wrap It Up:
Lastly you are going to grab the two braids and wrap them on top of your head like a headband. First one and then the other. Make sure to hide the ends of each.

This step is totally optional, but I chose to curl my bangs to give them a little more texture. You can totally leave your bangs in the braid if you want to as well. Whatever floats that boat of yours.

Taddaaaaa! You are all done! Easy right? I hope so. My hair is long, so I had no trouble wrapping it around. I did have to use a lot of bobby pins because it is heavier, but it's okay with me. If you have shorter hair, you might not have this problem.

Well, I hope you have a wonderful rest of the day. As for me, I have piles of homework waiting for me. What are you up to?  Keep smiling.
