Fishtail Ready Updo

Hello Beautiful people!
I am doing a fishtail updo tutorial today. It has been extremely hot lately, so I love figuring out different ways to get my hair out of my face. Whether it be pinned back half-do's or full slick back updos. Hair do's that get my hair out of my face are my best friends. I was experimenting today because the weather is extremely hot, and I came up with this fishtail ready updo.
As I have mentioned before braids are my absolute favorite. I try to find many different ways to incorporate a braid in my hair.
This hairstyle is a little time consuming, but not too much. So let's get started.

Begin by grabbing a section of hair (Left), and then fishtail braiding it about 3/4 of the way down (right). You will be doing that on both sides of your head.

Bobby pin both sections behind your head as if you were doing a half updo. It should look like the picture above.

Next, grab another section from underneath the fishtail braid you did earlier and twist it all the way around. You will be bobby pinning this section right underneath the fishtail braids. Go ahead and do the same thing on the other side. (left)

*You should have two fishtail braids on the top, and two twisted sections on the bottom(right).

You are then going to grab the remaining hair at the bottom and fishtail braid this entire section (left).
Once you have braided this section you will roll the braid into a bun and bobby pin it into place. How many bobby pins you use, depend on how thick or thin your hair is. I had to use quite a few for it to be secured.

You're all done!

Yay! I absolutely love the texture of the fishtail braids. They make a cute and sassy messy updo. If you are not a big fan of all the messiness then go ahead and put a frizz serum before you start your braid, or try a spritz of hairspray. If you have any suggestions or requests feel free to send them to me via email. I love a good challenge.  I hope you have a wonderful day, and please stay hydrated.
