Hello my beautiful readers. I hope you are all having a lovely day so far. It is already midweek and I am left wondering where the week has gone. It seems as though each day keeps passing by faster than I can reach. It's getting insane! Well anyways I am coming to you today with a product review. I have not been paid to review this product, nor have I been asked to do it. This is simply my own review.
I am going to be reviewing The Mint and Rosemary Shampoo and Conditioner by Suave. Keep in mind that this is my own opinion. I am in no way claiming that this product will have the same result for everyone. Nor am I claiming that this product is my own.
Now without further a do let's begin.
I first heard of this product from my boyfriend. He began using it, and then had to stop because he said his hair was growing rapidly. Frustrated with the frequent visits to his barber he chose to switch. However, remembering that I constantly talk about wanting my hair longer, he recommended this shampoo to me. I quickly went to my local Target and purchased this shampoo and conditioner.
Let me begin by saying that this shampoo is not pricey at all. I have noticed that buying it online costs a lot more than buying it in a normal store. So keep that in mind next time you try to purchase any shampoo online. Sometimes it is better to compare prices before making your choice.
The smell of the shampoo is not strong. It does smell very mint-like, and I do love the smell. What I did not like was that the smell did not stay on for a very long time, but it is nothing to complain about. I personally did not feel like that was a big deal.
Now if you prefer a long-lasting scent, then maybe this is where you draw the line, but as for me, I still really like this product.
The product does not claim to make your hair longer. It only claims to make your hair "soft and shiny". This was very true for me. From the first day I tried it, my hair was very soft and manageable. I have very fine hair, and I did love the way my hair looked after using this product.
The shampoo is a gel-like substance. It lathers great, and along with the conditioner, it leaves my hair very soft. I did notice some hair growth, but I will explain more on that as the review goes on.
One thing I loved about using this shampoo was that, having fine hair, I tend to curl my hair a lot. You would think that my hair was very damaged, but in fact people would constantly comment on how my hair did not feel very damaged at all. So the shampoo truly gives you that clean and soft feeling that it claims to give.
I have read many reviews that claim that this product is very good for people who have oily hair. I have also read a few reviews that claim that this shampoo produces weird crusty flakes in the scalp. This did not happen to me, but like I said we are all different. I also do not have oily hair, so I can not testify to this claim.
Now I want to talk about the ingredients in this shampoo. I researched a lot of these ingredients and I will be sharing with you all of the ingredients I feel need to be noticed. I will not review all of the ingredients, just a few.
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil: According to Earth Science Naturals, The Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, is closely correlated to the natural oil our skin produces. This oil leaves our skin feeling smooth, and it is meant to leave our scalp smooth and soft.
Aloe Barbadenses: We al know that their are many products that contain Aloe. Aloe has become very popular with skin care products, well according to Natural Wellbeing, Aloe Barbadenses when used in a hair product is perfect for repairing dry and dull hair and scalp. This ingredient can also be used to "reduce the effect of male patterned baldness".
Rosemarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil: Rosemary can be used as a fragrance and and commonly used in cosmetics to soften skin. I did more research on Rosemary, and it can also be used for healthy hair growth. This is where I want to stay and talk to you a little more about.
My boyfriends mother told me once that Rosemary helps with hair growth. Me, being the lover of facts that I am, decided to research Rosemary and elaborate deeper on it's correlated relationship with hair growth.
I have found that Rosemary does a lot of wonders to our hair. It has many uses.
One of the main things that caught my attention was that Rosemary stimulates and improves circulation to the scalp which in return encourages hair growth. According to LiveStrong, "it's thought natural active ingredients in rosemary, can help block some of the causes of baldness".
This would explain my boyfriends rapid hair growth. I have been using this shampoo for about three months and my hair has also grown a bit faster.
Let me remind you that this product does not claim to make your hair grow faster in fact, there is no way that anything can make your hair grow instantly. So many people want longer hair, and they do not want to wait for it. Growing your hair takes a lot of patience and time.
There are many factors that contribute to hair growth, one of which could of helped me these past there months. I have been drinking a lot of water, and I have been trying to eat healthier. Remember that for faster hair growth you have to take care of yourself too.
For faster hair growth I would suggest:
-Drinking plenty of water
-Staying away from stressful people and situations
-Laying off junk food
-and try laying of the heat styling tools (this is something I need to start practicing.)
I would personally rate this product an 8/10 it isn't perfect, but it does what it says. Remember we are all different, so something that may have worked for me may not work for you. If this product does not help your hair grow, it is not Suave's fault because it does not claim to do so. It simply has ingredients that can help. If you want to grow your hair simply do things that can lead to that, but remember that it all takes patience.
Well my beauties I hope you have enjoyed this review. Let me know if you have had a positive experience while using this shampoo, and also give me more products that you would like me to review. Let me remind you that I was not paid to give this review, nor was I asked to do it. I did it because I wanted to share a product that helped me.
I hope you take the time and try this product out. If you still feel iffy about the whole thing, then do your own research on the product and make the choice that will best suit you.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this review. I want to remind you to keep on smiling.
