"Wait patiently for the Lord, Be brave and courageous, yes wait patiently for the Lord." -Psalm 27:14
Hello my beautiful and kind readers. I am so happy, and I feel a great peace in my heart and life right now. I feel as if I have reached a point of growth. I spent so many months asking for God to help my character, and I feel like all of my asking is finally paying off.
That is actually what I want to talk to you about today.
I want to talk about determination. The importance of having determination in ALL areas of our lives.
First I want to briefly explain what determination is.
Merriam-Webster defines this word as, "a quality that makes you continue trying to do or achieve something that is difficult." Personally I believe this definition is perfect. Determination is what allows us to continue trying even when everything around us is telling us to stop.
Jeff Arnold, a well-known Apostolic preacher, says that, desire brings desperation which in return brings determination. In the end determination is the most important.
We must be determined to keep serving God, even when our family isn't saved. Even when our friends leave us because we are too "religious". Even when our prayers are not being answered.
I believe that the strength of our relationship with God is determined by how firm we stand beside Him when everything around us is falling apart.
Determination is good to have when we are working hard to get somewhere. This can be applied to school. If we see that our grades are faltering, we can not give up. We must try harder, until we see that our grades are back up again. Then we can feel satisfied that we tried our absolute best.
Today I want to encourage you to keep trying. I may not know your struggle, but I do know how it feels to be hurt by something. I understand how it feels to want something so bad, but not see it in your hands. I know how it feels when we do not see an answer from God right away.
Keep trying no matter what. Your blessing is coming soon. All you have to do is keep trying, keep asking, keep going. Whatever you have been longing for will come. Do not live with a defeated attitude, we serve an all powerful God, so live a powerful and victorious life.
Ask God for determination. Ask Him to help you keep going forward no matter the circumstance.
I am very excited to be going to a camp tomorrow. This camp is called Never The Same. We have one every year, and it is going to be amazing, This is my fourth year attending, and each year it is even more powerful than the last. I am extremely excited to be helping take some of the pictures there too. How great is that you guys!
I ask for your prayers. Not only for myself, but for everyone who is going to be a part of this life changing camp. I can not wait.
Anyway, I hope you all continue having the most amazing day. I encourage you to always look ahead. Never stop until you reach your goal. Remember we are all running this race, we can all make it to the end, just don't stop.
