With the holiday season upon us, and the festive dinners awaiting our indulgence, whose to say we shouldn't treat ourselves with some extra dessert. I know that every time the holiday season comes I try to stay away from "seconds" as much as possible. This season however, I am feeling a little adventurous, and I probably won't hold myself back.
Healthy eating shouldn't be painful. Trust me when it comes to healthy food and snacks, I am usually one to turn the other cheek. This yogurt dessert is actually an exception. I do not regret eating this savory dessert, and I don't feel guilty when I want more.
This dessert is nutty and sweet, and I love absolutely everything about it. I am so excited to be able to share this with you.
Here's what you will need:
-Your choice of yogurt (Greek is my fave)
-2 Small Apples
-A handful of almonds
1. Chop your apples into small squares
2. Chop your almonds in half
3. Mix it all up
You are ready to enjoy this sweet and crunchy combination. I like to eat this in the morning as soon as I wake up, I find that the fruit and almonds give me energy all throughout my morning. You will also feel great throughout the day when you realize that you have made some healthy choices. Who can say that they had dessert for breakfast and feel good about it?
